As India is celebrating 75 years of Independence, NITI Aayog in partnership with UNDP is bringing out the compendium of Best Practices in social sector showcasing 75 case studies which truly highlight the theme ‘Achievement@75’ at the local levels. These practices have been sourced from the 28 States and 8 Union Territories and over 30 Ministries and Departments of the Government of India. These practices have been carefully chosen from over 200 innovative initiatives received from the states/UT and Ministries. Focus was placed on the practices which are replicable and have benefitted a large segment of the society and are spread over diverse themes. They are spread across 14 themes including Health and Nutrition, Education, Social Welfare, Skill Development and Financial Inclusion. This document is expected to be used for learning lessons from proven successful implementation of the interventions by the Central and State Governments. It aims to bring in one place the available resource of best practices and promulgate knowledge sharing.
