The National Urban Sanitation Policy 2008 (NUSP) introduced by Ministry of Urban Development. Government of India with a vision to make all Indian cities totally sanitized, healthy, livable and has provided the required framework to move towards urban sanitation in an integrated manner with addressing the issues related to urban poor. City Sanitation Plan is a important document which is helpful in implementation of NUSP pertaining to management of human excreta and associated public health and environmental issues; it recognized that integral solutions to need to be taken into account of other elements of environmental sanitation. This report highlight the present sanitation status of the city, infrastructural facilities and the citizens demands and perception about sanitation arrangements, outcomes, health and environmental linkages.
