Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Gurpreet Singh Bagga & Others Vs. Ministry of Environment & Forest, & CC & Others dated 02/09/2016 regarding illegal and rampant mining in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Local Commissioner submitted before the Tribunal that there is massive illegal and unauthorized removal of minor minerals going on in the area.
Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of M/s. Ganga Yamuna Mining Co. & Others Vs. State of Haryana & Others dated 06/06/2016 regarding illegal mining of minor minerals in the state of Uttar Pradesh. As an interim order Tribunal directs the auction purchasers who were declared successful and have paid the amounts to the Government of State of Uttar Pradesh for lifting of stored material which itself was collected from the illegal mining are permitted to lift the material within a period of one month and three days.
