Compliance of the National Green Tribunal (NGT) order of November 27, 2020  in Original Application No. 168/2013 in the matter of Karan Singh Vs State of Himachal Pradesh & Others. The matter related to the solid waste dumping site at Salogra, Solan district.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Karan Singh Vs. State of Himachal Pradesh & Others dated 10/05/2016 regarding municipal solid waste management in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. Tribunal noted that there is no plant presently operating in the State of Himachal Pradesh, including its capital at Shimla thus it is necessary that the municipal solid waste instead of being dumped in the Hilly Valley should be taken to Chandigarh site and provided to the plant.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Karan Singh V/s. Union of India & Ors. dated 03/02/2016 regarding illegal mining at Village Gharbara District, Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh over the agricultural land of Karan Singh.

The counsel appearing for State of Uttar Pradesh submitted before the Tribunal that the period of environmental clearance is already over and the respondent no. 6 cannot continue mining and the lease has already expired. In the light of these submissions nothing survives in the application.
