Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Sukhram Baghel Vs. State of Madhya Pradesh & Others dated 01/03/2016 regarding illegal mining in the state of Madhya Pradesh.

NGT noted that "it appears that illegal mining is continuing unabated despite the measures said to have been taken by the State Respondents. We are of the considered opinion that there appears to be a serious flaw in the system. In order to ensure that such activity do not take place, it would be essential for the State Respondents to take stringent measures against the violators of law."
