Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of ALPS Industries Ltd. Vs. U.E.P.P.C.B. & Ors. dated 01/03/2016 regarding pollution caused by the textile industry ( Alps Industries Ltd.) Uttarakhand.

NGT orders for a joint inspection of the industry to be conducted by the CPCB, State Pollution Control Board, IIT Roorkee and the Inspection, preferably should be in the first instance of the spinning units.

NGT in its order stated the unit (ALPS Industries Ltd.) shall stop its operation forthwith and will not carry out any activity without specific order.
