The National Green Tribunal directed the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) to verify whether adequate steps have been taken to stop the flow of sewage and other wastes flowing into the storm water drain of  Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam. Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam informed the Additional Chief Secretary, Urban Development, Lucknow that there is now connectivity of wash waters and waste from dairies at three vulnerable points. 158 houses which were unconnected to the sewerage system has now been connected and hence no sewage is now being discharged into the drain.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of K. P. Singh & Others Vs. Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board & Others dated 22/09/2017 regarding blockage of storm water drains in Vasundhra, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The Applicant has produced photographs to show that the drain is still blocked and demolishing of illegal structures has not been completed. Tribunal grants one weeks time to Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam to clean all the drains in the Vasundhara township.
