Judgement of the National Green Tribunal (Southern Zone, Chennai) in the matter of Kumbeswaran Vs Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board & Others dated 11/05/2016 regarding closure of hot mix plants in Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kancheepuram District, Tamil Nadu. NGT in its Judgement noted that despite the order of closure to the 7 units the units are functioning by using diesel generator sets and directs the State Pollution Control Board to take all necessary steps for the purpose of sealing the premises of the 7 units, including the seizure of the Diesel Generator Set from the 7 units.
