Judgement of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Madhumangal Shukla Vs Ministry Of Environment And Forests (MOEF) & Others dated 03/07/2017 regarding improper and unregulated disposal of municipal solid waste in the city of Vrindavan, especially in front of the Tatiasthan, near river Yamuna and other places like Kalidaha, Shringarvat, Ranapat Ghat etc. It was also submitted by the Applicant - Madhumangal Shukla that Vrindavan is a temple town in Mathura district and is situated on the west bank of river Yamuna.

Judgement of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Madhumangal Shukla Vs Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change & Others dated 23/08/2016 regarding Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) management in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh. It has been pointed out that Municipal Solid Waste of Vrindavan was being dumped on different places and even on the banks of River Yamuna. The unregulated dumping of MSW on the floodplain area of River Yamuna is a new development and is playing havoc with the floodplain.

NGT on March 22, 2016 appointed Rahul Khurana, Advocate present before the Tribunal as Local Commissioner and asked him to submit a comprehensive report in relation to collection, dumping, transportation and burning etc. of the municipal solid waste in Vrindavan city .
