A major breach in the Yamuna flowing near the Bawana area in Outer Delhi on Sunday forced the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) authorities to shut down its 140-MGD (million gallons a day) water treatment plant (WTP) at Haiderpur and the 40-MGD Nangloi WTP, the main source of water supply to West and Southwest Delhi.
