LUCKNOW: After persistently recording higher noise levels, Lucknow has come under the direct watch of the Ministry of Environment and Forest (MoEF).

The real time ambient noise monitoring network was launched by minister of state for environment and forests, Jairam Ramesh, in New Delhi on Wednesday.

Lucknow is a part of the network with Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Bangalor
