15 mines running sans permits, 8 exceeding limits In what appears to be a massive scam in the mining sector, the public accounts committee (PAC) on Monday, pointed out that 15 mines were operating without valid forest clearances and eight mines, were extracting ore much beyond their permitted capacity.
