Compliance report on management of waste at village Adampur, Bari tehsil, district Dholpur, Rajasthan, 24/03/2021
Affidavit cum compliance report by the government of Rajasthan in compliance to the National Green Tribunal order July 22, 2020 in the matter of Resident of village Adampur, PO Masodi Khera, Dholpur district Vs State of Rajasthan.
The matter related to compliance of Municipal Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016 for solid waste and sewage in Municipal Corporation, Bari tehsil, district Dholpur. It was alleged that dumping waste was contaminating Ram Sagar pond and the land of village Adampur.
The Municipal Corporation Badi in compliance with Solid Waste Management Rules 2016 is engaged in door to door collection of garbage, segregation at source, sweeping, processing of wet and dry waste and transportation of waste within all the 35 wards of the city. The waste is being collected and segregated as per category and disposed of in the dumping site of municipal corporation. Further, the burning of garbage at the dumping site is prohibited.
With respect to legacy waste, there is around 11458 cubic metres and the expenditure for clearing of the legacy waste as per Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016 is around Rs. 60 lakhs.
Neither Ram Sagar pond nor soil of village Adampur was contaminated and the dumping site at Adampur is being maintained and monitored by the Municipal Corporation Badi, located 2.5 km from Ram Sagar pond, the report of March 24, 2021 said.
