Ministry of Mines is in the process of formulation of a National Non-Ferrous Metals (Aluminium and Copper) Scrap Recycling Policy. Accordingly, a draft of the said policy has been prepared and is being circulated for comments from stake holders and the public at large.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 13 of the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957 (67 of 1957), the Central Government makes the following rules to amend the Min eral (Auction) Rules, 2015. These rules may be called the Mineral (Auction) Amendment Rules, 2020.

The draft National Mineral Policy (NMP), 2018 released by the government proposes long term export policy for the mineral sector as an incentive for investing in large scale commercial mining activity. Government seeks views on the draft National Mineral policy 2018 till Feb 9, 2018.

The Mines and Mineral Development and Regulation Act, 1957 was amended in 2015. Subsequent to the amendment, the Ministry of Mines notified the Mineral Auction Rules, 2015 on 20/05/2015 to prescribe the procedure of the auction process.
