Response to the status report filed by the Central Pollution Control Board by Kankana Das. The report was in compliance with the NGT order dated March 15, 2023.

The NGT, March 15, 2023 had directed the CPCB to examine action plans for air pollution submitted by states independently and to file a status report.

Status report by the Central Pollution Control Board, Regional Directorate (Chennai) in the matter of Kankana Das Vs Union of India & Others as per the order of the National Green Tribunal, January 20, 2023.

The matter related to preparation of State Action Plan by southern states under National Clean Air Programme (NCAP) along with the state of Kerala and the Union Territory of Puducherry for improvement in air quality. 

Affidavit filed by the Meghalaya State Pollution Control Board on online effluent quality and emission monitoring systems (OEQEMS).

There are seventeen numbers of industrial units in the state falling under the category of highly polluting industries and are connected with the Online Effluent Quality and Emission Monitoring Systems (OEQEMS) - the data of which is displayed in the Meghalaya State Pollution Control Board's website portal. These 17 industries are running after having appropriate consents to operate (CTO) from the Meghalaya State Pollution Control Board.
