Order of the National Green Tribunal (Principal Bench, New Delhi) in the matter of Krishan Kant Singh Hoon & Anr. Vs. Union of India & Ors. dated 28/04/2014 regarding indiscriminate animal butchering activity going on in various parts of Hapur, Meerut and Gaziabad and River Kali is being polluted with dumping of the offal i.e. 66 percent of industrial waste from abattoirs into this river.
