Counsel appearing for Delhi Pollution Control Committee and the Corporation submit that they would ensure that no restaurants are permitted to carry out their operations or commercial activities unless they have obtained consent to operate from Delhi Pollution Control Committee and license from the Municipal Authorities.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Pankaj Sharma V/s MoEF & Anr. dated 06/02/2014 regarding Restaurants in Hauz Khas Village. The NGT order has noted that 33 Restaurants situated in the Hauz Khas
area have installed ETP which are actually in functioning capacity as on date apart from the DG sets which are functioning adequately.
The NGT ordered closure of 12 restaurants in Delhi’s Hauz Khas area for not having applied for consent to operate till date since its last year’s order dated 20/09/2013 directing them to do so after complying with all the norms.
