NGT in its Order Dated 29/05/2017 had directed UPSIDC (Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Corporation) to make the CETP functional positively and report compliance.

Inspection Report reveals that the CETP is not being maintained and run in the manner required. NGT therefore issues notice to UPSIIDC as to why they should not be saddled with the environmental compensation for their failure to run CETP properly and causing damage to the environment.
