Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Rohit Choudhury Vs Union of India & Others dated 01/02/2018 regarding animal deaths in Kaziranga National Park due to accidents on the highway. The State of Assam has placed before the Court an alternative proposal to installation of Automated Animal Sensor Barriers. The Court observed that except revealing the budgetary constraints there is no explanation or revelation of the special circumstance or reason to go for the alternative proposal.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Principal Bench, New Delhi) in the matter of Rohit Choudhary Vs. Union of India & Ors. dated 25/08/2015.

The Tribunal has asked the State Government to ensure the strict compliance of the orders of the Tribunal and no construction whatsoever should be permitted to come up in and around the Kaziranga National Park. Even the Patta holder cannot raise any construction in the eco sensitive area or in the buffer zone as Patta gives a right in the land primarily for agricultural purpose and nothing more.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Principal Bench, New Delhi) in the matter of Rohit Choudhary Vs. Union of India & Ors. dated 10/08/2015 concerning Numaligarh Refinery Limited in the no development zone of the Kaziranga National Park, Assam.

The Tribunal also directed the State of Assam to produce original records including any environmental clearance and clearance from the National wildlife Board, if given to the Numaligarh Refinery Limited.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Principal Bench, New Delhi) in the matter of Rohit Choudhary Vs. Union of India & Ors. dated 15/04/2014 regarding suspension of movement of trucks during night time during monsoon season on a stretch of National Highway 37 running through the Kaziranga National Park. The Director, Kaziranga National Park stated that suspension of movement of trucks is not a viable proposition considering the fact that NH-37 is a life line for North
Eastern States.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Rohit Choudhary Vs Union of India & Others dated 09/10/2013 in respect of NH-37 passing through Jakhalabandha to Bokakhat going through Kaziranga National Park which NGT states is not only violation of the conditions imposed by Ministry of Environment and Forests while granting permission for this Project but is certainly violation of environment particularly the wildlife.
