SALEM: Members of the Thamizhaga Adivasi Amaippugalin Kootamaippu (TAAK) have urged the Tamil Nadu Government to implement the Forest Rights Act 2006 uniformly.
The members claimed that Union Government had already passed the act while many states, including Tamil Nadu, were showing little interest to implement the same.
SALEM: In an effort to create adequate public convenience facilities in the city, the civic body has taken up the construction of nine sanitary complexes under the Valmiki Ambedkar Awaz Yojna.
The construction of two complexes taken up in Ammapet zone has been completed, while the work is progressing at three other places.
