It was stated that fifteen Pokland machines are working day and night causing damage to the environment, including air pollution. Though lease was for mining of the
area in Saharanpur district in Uttar Pradesh, the lessee has been undertaking illegal mining in village Belgarh in Haryana also.

Factual/inspection report in compliance to the NGT order dated March 1, 2023 in the matter of Original Application No. 125/2023, News item published in Rashtriya Sahara dated February 3, 2023 titled "Podhon ka paa nahin, nirai godai main lakhon ka khel" (plants missing, game of lakhs in plantation). A media report said that in the name of plantation at Tikri range, district Gonda huge funds were being diverted in collusion with the forest officers.

Grievance in the application is against violation of environmental norms by dumping of coal in 35 bighas in the vicinity of residential area at Krishnashila railway siding, Bina, Shaktinagar, district Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh, which is the land of the Northern Coal Field Limited. Coal has been dumped without any permission and is accumulated through illegal transportation from coal fields.
