Action Research for Community Adaptation in Bangladesh (ARCAB) is a long term action Research Programme on Community Based Adaptation (CBA) to climate change in 5major ecosystems in Bangladesh. The programme is jointly managed by Bangladesh centre for Advanced Studies(BCAS) and International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED).ARCAB is going to organize 1st national CBA conference in April 2012 in order to exhibit the theories and practices of CBA in Bangladesh. The two days event will provide knowledge sharing spaces among academicians, practitioners, researches and CBA communities. The objectives are:
• Bring CBA stakeholders together
• Capture the latest learning of CBA
• Disseminate the lessons learnt
The two days event will feature 4 plenary sessions and 8 parallel sessions on different aspects and themes of CBA.
