Judgement of the National Green Tribunal (Southern Zone, Chennai) in the matter of S. Kasinathan Vs Ministry of Environment & Forest dated 05/07/2016 regarding construction of a commercial property in R.S.No.283/2, T.S.No.15, 16,17, 18, 19, 20, 22 (part) and 23 of Ward – F, Block – 1 at Old Puducherry Road of Puducherry Revenue Village. NGT orders that the project proponent shall not occupy or put in use of any portion of the fifth and sixth floors as per the building plan approved by the Puducherry Planning Authority dated 17.8.2015 until the authority competent under the EIA Notification, 2006 issues EC in respect of the entire building.
