Society is a ‘web-relationship’. In the society political organization and politics are simply meant for the protection of citizen living in a specific geographia. State facilitates smooth and cozy life by minimizing struggle and conflict amongst the people by maintaining law and order, it also protects people from the external aggression. It maintains cordial relation between countries for easy migration. But these ideal parlances are not always in practice because of many factors like growth of population, scarcity of resources, strife due to caste, religion, economy, inequality etc. Society always faces resonance to maintain ideal condition for living. In present times growth of population is more political rather than cultural. Politicians see people as their vote bank and all these create an adverse atmosphere for survival. Due to imbalance between resources and population survival of people becomes hard. It creates conflict of interests and anarchical situations in the society. The law is important for a society for it serves as a norm of conduct for citizens. It was also made to provide for proper guidelines and order upon the behaviour for all citizens and to sustain the equity in the society. The law is important because it keeps the society running. Without law there would be chaos and it would be survival of the fittest and everyman for himself. Not an ideal life style for most part. Emergence of law acts as safety valve for the smooth existence of society and its member, law is important because it acts as a guideline as to what is accepted in society. Without it there would be conflicts between social groups and communities. Even after having strong armor of law we find various anomalies, conflicts and crime in the society, as law is not an absolute remedy for correcting the behavior of people. Law is an artificial device to regulate the society. Law plays an agent of modernization and social change. It is also an indicator of the nature of societal complexity and its attendant problems of integration. Multi facet culture and numerous cultural groups never promote a universal law to control human behavior.
