Order of the National Green Tribunal (Eastern Zone Bench, Kolkata) in the matter of Subrato Mookherjee Vs West Bengal Pollution Control Board & Others dated 17/02/2016 regarding bio-medical waste management and implementation of Bio-Medical Waste (Management and Handling) Rules, 1998.

West Bengal Pollution Control Board will submit status report and action taken report in respect of hospitals and nursing homes who have not complied with the Bio-Medical Waste (Management and Handling) Rules, 1998 and are operating their respective hospitals/nursing homes without any consent to operate and without any authorisation from PCB.
