Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Sanjiv Tiwari Vs Digamber Jain & Others dated 09/04/2019 regarding construction of toilets 100 meters away from the temples/kunds and also for shifting the existing one upto that distance in Amarkantak in Anuppur district. These measures are for checking pollution at the origin of Narmada river.

The Municipal Corporation, Amarkantak had filed the application for recalling the direction issued by the Tribunal for construction of toilets 100 meters away from the temples. The Tribunal expressed its unhappiness at the filing of the interlocutory application by the municipal corporation and said it unnecessarily delays the matter and dismisses the application. And directs the Collector, Anuppur to have the order dated 12.03.2019 be complied in letter and spirit before the next date of hearing (16th May, 2019).
