Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Legal Aid Committee, NGT Bar Association Vs MoEF & Others dated 08/03/2019 regarding preparation of sub regional plans by the concerned States under Section 17 of the National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB) Act, 1985, consistent with the regional plan prepared by the NCRPB with a view to protect the environment. The Tribunal had directed the states who had not completed the work of delineation of Natural Conservation Zone (NCZ) to prepare the plans and a joint Committee headed by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF) to examine the question whether the sub regional plans are consistent with the regional plan prepared by NCRPB.

NGT finds that the direction of the Tribunal has not been carried out, without any valid reason and directs the Inspector General of Forests, MoEF dealing with the matter to remain present in person on the next date of hearing (12/04/2019) with the compliance report.
