Measures to restrain vehicle numbers
•Parking demand is insatiable but globally, a new set of parking principles are being adopted to restrain parking demand and personal vehicle usage to cut traffic volume, pollution and energy guzzling. However, Indian cities are yet to make the transition and current policies are focused on creating more parking spaces.
