Chennai Corporation plans to commission 50,000 rainwater harvesting structures along 1,000 km of roads.

“A number of rainwater harvesting structures installed on roads in Besant Nagar and Sastri Nagar are working well. Roads with 50,000 rainwater harvesting structures at an interval of 20 metres will significantly improve groundwater level,” said an official of Chennai Corporation.
