With the rapid growth of urban localities in the city, the gap between the demand and supply of water has been widening. Avas Foundation, a city based NGO, has drawn up an action plan for raising awareness in the city regarding the need for economical and judicious use of water and its conservation, including adoption of measures, such as rain water harvesting etc.
