Birds, langur, deer set free
The forest department yesterday released a flock of rare parrots, a langur and a barking deer in the Dalma wildlife sanctuary.
The red-vented parrots, which are protected under Schedule IV of the Wildlife Protection Act, were confiscated from a Sakchi pet shop where 28 birds were found crammed into a tiny cage, up for sale.
