Cold wave toll shoots up
23 die in U.P, Uttarakhand; temperature up in most North India
At least 23 lives were lost due to severe cold in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand on Thursday even as temperatures rose in parts of North India, a trend that the weatherman says will persist. People in the national Capital woke up to a pleasant morning as the minimum temperature rose by over a degree from Wednesday to settle at 5.8 degrees Celsius.
