NAGAPATTINAM: To ensure water availability for samba cultivation in the tail-end areas in the delta region, monitoring committees would be formed under tahsildars.

This was decided at an emergency meeting of a special committee, chaired by A. Annadurai, District Revenue Officer, at the collectorate on Monday to ascertain the status of water availability in the tail-end areas.
