The tremors felt in the city and some other parts of Rajasthan in the wee hours Wednesday morning at about 1.55 am were waves from an earthquake that had its epicentre in south-western Pakistan.
According to the seismology wing of the Indian Metrology Department (IMD), the earthquake measured 7.4 on the Richter scale there.
