Some persons played mischief by setting up industrial waste on fire behind Naval Auditorium Rajhans-Dabolim, Vasco, on Sunday afternoon.
Panic gripped the residents of the area, when huge smoke erupted and soon the industrial waste slowly and steadily engulfed the dry grass.
Vasco fire brigade personnel rushed to the site and extinguished the fire from spreading further.
