The North Eastern Council (NEC) has released Rs 214.64 crore of the total budgetary allocation of Rs 624 crore for various projects in the region.

A review meeting chaired by the NEC Secretary UK Sangma at the council headquarters monitored the progress of sanction of schemes and release of funds by the council recently, an official statement said here.
