GANGTOK, Nov 22: Sikkim would soon acquire the distinction of having a hydro power station at an altitude of around 13,000 ft, the highest in the country. The work on this proposed mini-hydel power project would start soon with an active intervention from the State Department of Science and Technology, departments advisor GJ Samadhanam said.
