KENDRAPARA: Panic gripped seaside villages in Kendrapara and Jagatsinghpur districts with tidal waves lashing the villages from Wednesday causing extensive damage to agricultural land in a couple of blocks.

In Keruapala village under Rangani gram panchayat in Rajnagar block a sluice gate collapsed on Thursday, as a result about 4,000 acres were inundated with saline water.
