Use from sewage

sewage water that has been polluting the Yamuna river for several decades will now be used for afforestation purposes. The Central Saline Soils Research Institute ( cssri ), Karnal will effectively use sewage water for development purposes. The scheme would not only reduce discharge of sewage water into the Yamuna, it would also help in increasing the green lung power for Delhi. The Delhi Development Authority ( dda ) has given 16.2 ha of land in Dwarka, Delhi for a period of one year, from where the project would begin. cssri will train workers of the civic bodies to lift the waste and use it for afforestation. The workers will be trained because sewage water contains toxic elements and any miscalculations can damage the afforestation process.
