Ordering immediate stoppage of the sand mining along the banks of Hagari river in Bellary district, the High Court on Friday rebuked the State Government for allowing the activity to proceed. In a rare gesture, the Court even invited mediapersons to watch a video footage of the ongoing sand-mining, driving home the point that it was in no mood to let such a thing to continue.
