A mahapanchayat of farmers from 21 villagers of Rewari district of Haryana on Sunday threatened to re-launch their agitation within a month's time if the State government did not accept their demand for withdrawal of a proposal to acquire about 3000 acres of land along the Delhi-Jaipur highway.

The meeting of various organisations at Asalwas village reiterated their resolve to continue with the struggle to save the farmers’ land. Meanwhile, the State government through the district administration has sought to open talks with the Mahapanchayat representatives.
