Order of the National Green Tribunal (Eastern Zone Bench, Kolkata) in the matter of Department of Public Health Engineering - Govt. of West Bengal Vs Society for Direct Initiative for Social & Health Action (DISHA) dated 31/05/2017 regarding digging of tube wells falling within CRZ area, Mouza Dadanpatra, District Purba Medinipur, West Bengal.

NGT allows the continuation of the work of commissioning and running of the tube well taking into consideration the report submitted by the Institute of Environmental Studies and Wetland Management (IESWM) which states that the tube well does not fall within the CRZ area as it is 500 m beyond the HTL (High Tide Line) apart from the immense public interest involved in the matter.
