Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Sourendri Deheri Vs Sanjay Kumar Agarwal & Others dated 30/04/2019 regarding M/s Shyam Metalics & Energy Ltd. at village Pandloi, Lapanga, Tahasil- Rengali, District Sambalpur, Odisha depositing coal ash dust in the reserve forest near the village Babuchakli (Minkapada), District Sambalpur. This has led to damage to the green belt.

The NGT directs a joint committee consisting of the District Magistrate cum District Collector Sambalpur, District Forest Officer of the District and Senior Scientist of State Pollution Control Board to conduct an inspection of the unit. The Committee has been directed to submit a factual and action taken report in this regard within a period of two months.
