This is the latest book from our Environment Education Unit. To coincide with the Swachh Bharat Mission, the 2015 GSP audit will focus on solid waste management. GSP (Green Schools Programme) seeks to foster environmental literacy by moving beyond theories and text books and concentrates on “doing”. The programme helps schools to audit the use of natural resources within their premises, provides them the methodology to assess themselves as environmental managers and plug the gaps that are identified through the audit. Since students themselves are conducting the audit, it helps them understand better what is taught in the classroom, with emphasis on teamwork and collaboration. To assess the consumption of resources, all a School needs to do is follow the set of guidelines and tasks outlined in the Green Schools' Manual - How Green is Your School?
