Solid and liquid waste management programme is going to begin in 31 Gram Panchayats with above 10,000 population in the state under Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan.

The programme will be implemented in 18 districts through state water and sanitation mission. Process to prepare DPR for this has started. Besides, necessary directives and guidelines are being sent for regular monitoring and technical cooperation during implementation of the programme.

BHOPAL: A mining plan cell has been constituted in Directorate of Geology and Mining. Superintendent Geology NK Hans has been appointed as the in-charge of the cell constituted to give recognition to qualified persons.

According to authorities, the cell will accord recognition to persons qualified to prepare mining plan as per amendments made to Madhya Pradesh Minor Minerals Rules-1996. Recognition will be given by Directorate of Geology and Mining.
