Air pollution is taking the form of Epidemic as it is the 5th biggest reason of deaths in the country. The stats says that 80,000 people die due to air pollution in Delhi and Mumbai. Yearly, 10,000-30,000 are dying due to air pollution in Delhi. Daily approx 80 people die in Delhi.

Air pollution contributed to a total of 80,665 premature deaths of adults over 30 years in Mumbai and Delhi in 2015, a two-fold jump from 1995, according to a new study at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.

दिल्ली-एनसीआर के लिए प्रदूषण कोड को सुप्रीम कोर्ट से मंजूरी मिल गयी है और केंद्र सरकार को इस बारे में अधिसूचना जारी करने को कहा है. ग्रेड रिस्‍पॉन्‍स सिस्‍टम को लागू करने की जिम्मेदारी दिल्ली सरकार, एमसीडी, एनडीएमसी दिल्ली और एनसीआर की ट्रैफिक पुलिस पर होगी.
