Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Akash Vashishtha & Anr. Vs. Union of India & Others dated 10/02/2017 regarding constructions in the Flood Plain Area of Yamuna and Hindon. Counsel appearing for and Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change have brought to the Court's notice that the Notification dated 7th October, 2016 has been issued by the Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation which provides for protection of flood plain, fixation thereof and the activity which can be carried out in the flood plain.
