The application was filed by the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC) against the NGT order of December 14, 2017.

The Commissioner of the East Delhi Municipal Corporation, Special Secretary of Urban Development and officers of Fire Department gave assurance to the Court that steps would be taken up to ensure that none of the landfill sites in Delhi do not catch or are put on fire in future.

Vivek Vihar Railway Station dated 23/10/2017 collection, transportation and disposal of the municipal solid waste collected from the railway platforms. NGT while comining down heavily on the Railway authority said that the primary responsibility to comply with the Rules of 2016 and to ensure that the platforms and railway lines remain free of municipal solid wastes and other wastes rests on them.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Almitra H. Patel & Anr. Vs. Union of India & Others dated 22/09/2017 regarding waste dumping at the Ghazipur landfill site in Delhi. Tribunal directs NCT Delhi, East Delhi Municipal Corporation to place before the Tribunal, a Report and Action Plan in regard to the manner and methodology that would be done by them for the purpose of dealing with segregation, compaction and disposal of the deposited waste of the Ghazipur land fill site as well as the fresh waste of nearly 800 MT that is being brought to this site everyday.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Almitra H. Patel & Anr. Vs. Union of India & Others dated 04/09/2017 regarding the inefficiency of the local authorities and Government of NCT Delhi in the handling, collection and disposal of municipal solid waste management. The Tribunal expressed its displeasure at the fatalities caused by the Ghazipur garbage hill collapse "because of improper, unscientific and indiscriminate dumping of municipal solid waste at these sanitary landfill sites".
