Dumka, Jan. 19: The state government will help farmers who have taken the initiative to help themselves.

The Dumka district administration has decided to reimburse fuel costs of all farmers who had either bought or borrowed pump sets to irrigate their parched paddy fields in the wake of the drought-like situation in the state.

The state electricity board has proposed public-private partnership for the three new thermal power projects, with a total generating capacity of 5000 MW.
