Kohima : Incessant medium to heavy downpour throughout Nagaland has caused landslides in all the districts and damaged roads, cultivated lands and other property over a month.

Kohima: Continuous rainfall hit life in Nagaland today as andslides were reported from across the state though traffic remained largely unaffected. Official sources said landslides were continuing on National Highways 29, 61 and 155.

KOHIMA: Due to incessant rains, landslides occurred at various locations along the NH-39 between Dimapur and Kohima. With the onset of monsoon, it is anticipated that bigger slides may occur along this road. The Border Roads Organization has been working tirelessly to clear the slides as and when they occur.

Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio today exhorted farmers of the state to adopt better farming practices to increase productivity while distributing farm machinery during a function at the Dimapur sports complex today.

Kohima, May 16: The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) has sanctioned financial assistance of Rs 78.57 crore to the state to support 37 new rural infrastructure projects.

Kohima, March 24: Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio today presented a deficit budget of Rs 602.30 crore.

Rio said the current transaction of the coming year 2011-12 is estimated to result in a negative balance of Rs 0.86 crore.
